The preparations for the ‘Peace, Brotherhood and Democracy Feast’, which is organised by the South London Solidarity Association and will be held with the contributions of many companies in London, are continuing rapidly.
Goksal Varışlı, Co-Chairman and Coordinator of the Association, visited Right Holidays, which has been providing flight tickets and holiday packages in Stoke Newington for the last four years and in Harringay for the last year, last Thursday.
During the visit in Harringay, Goksal Varışlı was welcomed by Sinan Aydın, manager of Right Holidays, which is IATA and ATOL licensed. Goksal Varışlı said, ‘On behalf of the association, we would like to thank Right Holidays manager Sinan Aydın for the opportunities he provided for the transportation of Şevval Sam and his team who will come from Turkey for the “Peace, Brotherhood and Democracy Feast” event to be held in South London on 2-3 June under the main sponsorship of Tiles DIY General Manager Murat Yurtsever.’
Pointing out that although there are many citizens of Turkish and Cypriot origin living in South London, there are no cultural and artistic activities for the community, Varışlı said, ‘As an association, we are willing to close this gap, of course it is not possible to realise this alone, our companies should also support us.’
Sinan Aydın, the manager of Right Holidays, who supported the concert to be held in South London, expressed that he attaches importance to art and artists with the motto ‘Art is Life’. Since 2005, Right Holidays company manager Sinan Aydın said, ‘According to us, one of the biggest criteria of development is culture and art. With this understanding, we have been trying to support our culture, art and artists at every opportunity.’
Stating that he had a meeting with Atlasglobal executives after the application for assistance in transport for the Peace, Brotherhood and Democracy Feast, Aydın noted that they helped with transport after a positive response. Şevval Sam and his team will perform alaturka, arabesque, Black Sea folk songs, jazz, modern and classical songs at Catford Broadway Hall Theatre in South London on 2-3 June.
Right Holidays, which operates as Turkish Airlines sales authorised agents with IATA and ATOL licences, has the sales authorisation of Turkish Airlines, Atlas Jet, Pegasus Airlines, British Airways and many major airlines.
